Susan Evangelista

Media Comm. Mgr. | Videographer

Susan Evangelista is a native of Grand Rapids, Michigan and a graduate of West Catholic High School. She has three sons and is the wife of sculptor, artist Mic Carlson. Susan enjoyed an active modeling career in West Michigan, New York and Philadelphia; moving on to become a TV and radio personality on WZZM TV-13 and WLAV FM and many other radio stations doing traffic reports for Grand Rapids and surrounding areas.

Susan and Mic travelled to Assisi, Italy in 1999; learning the messages of the life of Saint Francis of Assisi. It was the inspiration for her to write two children's books; “Saint Francis and the Little People”, followed by “Tommy’s New Shell”. On one of her many return trips with Mic to Assisi and Rome, she was honored to stand behind Mic as he presented Pope Benedict XVI with one of his bronze sculptures of Francis of Assisi; reinforcing Susan’s belief that “Life is an extraordinary event where dreams come true if you envision them.”

In support of Saint Francis Sculpture Garden and the Saint Francis of Assisi Sculpture Garden, Susan has offered her skills as Media Communications Manager/Videographer. She developed and maintains the Saint Francis Sculpture Garden and Saint Francis of Assisi Sculpture Garden at Marywood Facebook pages.
