For 31 years I lived two blocks away from the campus. So when SFSG began to develop the Sculpture (meditation) gardens I was very interested. I was on the Board early on and took a break as my husband Michael was in need of constant care with his ALS. After 10/2013 I was alone and fragile. As I worked through this grief, three plus years later I meet Larry. I was back on the SFSG Board and he knew how much I loved the place. Once the artist made a statue of St. Francis cutting St. Claire’s hair, I was all in. Bought a plot with my new husband (who proposed to me at the gardens). It is a very special place for me, my family and now my new family.
