Patrick Bishop is an aspiring contemplative in both practice and profession. He has spent the past two-plus decades seeking illumination in the cross-discipline studies of spirituality, psychology, and leadership. Bishop is an author, speaker, and tenured professor at Ferris State University. Most importantly, Patrick is a father, husband, son, sibling, and avid pickleball player.

Patrick lives near the St. Francis of Assisi Garden and frequently visits the trail with his trusted furry companion, Cooper. "The garden is a little oasis of peace in the middle of a busy day and bustling city," says Bishop. "It's a place where deep calls unto deep; answering as it does with the sweet hum of nature and fresh breath of the breeze. It's a place we could all use a little more of."
